Ready or Not was produced for the Cork Arts Theatre 10x10 Festival in late 2025. A one-woman show, it follows Audrey getting ready for a fourth first date she is fairly certain will end badly. What begins as comedy gradually reveals something more tender and more true as Audrey is not just preparing for a date, but preparing to be seen.
Inside will debut at Cork Arts Theatre in April 2026, as part of the Views from a Deckchair production. Two women sit in the exercise yard of an Irish women's prison. Kate rings her mother back on Tuesdays rather than Sundays, so it looks like she has somewhere to be. Teresa writes letters to her son who likes to play games and is all grown up. A story set in a prison it's all about freedom: who has it, what we do with it, and why a small rectangle of sky is just enough.
Cheryl has also written for screen. Her debut short film will be produced by Scrios in mid-summer 2026. Further details to be announced.
